EU Pay Transparency Directive

Compliance deadline 2027
All EU member states must transpose the directive into national law by June 2026. Enforcement begins 2027.
25+ employees
Companies with 25 or more employees must conduct annual pay mapping and be able to justify pay differences.
100+ employees
Companies with 100+ employees must submit pay gap reports to the Equality Ombudsman (DO).
5% threshold
Pay gaps of 5% or more that cannot be justified by objective criteria must be remedied within 6 months.
